Hair In A Bun Friday: Taking Time For Art

The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.  Pablo Picasso

I really like the above quote and how it relates to having one’s hair in a bun; tying it up is similar to getting rid of the excess and just being.

Over the last couple of weeks while in a just because kind of mood, I picked up some drawing paper, oil pastels and chalk and started to illustrate experiences I had during deep periods of meditation.  These are peace filled times when I’ve tied my imaginary long hair in a bun while sitting with my legs crossed on the rug with a glass of wine next to me.

I’m not an artist by any means but it’s fun when the creativity flows.

Do any of our sister friends create art?  If so, please feel free to share: )
